Favourite Quote?

Surely everyone has a favourite quote? When I was younger it was always the simple ones, like “Greeeeeaaaaaaaaat” – Tony the Frosties Tiger, or “What’s Up Doc?” – Bugs Bunny. Now the Bugs Bunny one is still one of my favourite quotes because it’s great to imitate.

Someone else that’s great to imitate is Adrian Chiles doing his intro to the one show in his bored, dull brummy accent – “Hello and Welcome to The One Show with me Adrian Chiles and her Christine Bleakely – On the show today we have a Ke$ha talking about victorian drainage systems and Stephen Fry talking about sub-Saharan cushions.” or whatever ridiculousness you can come up with.

Now, for the last 9 years of my life (since the ripe old age of 13) I’ve had a favourite quote. My most ultimate quote ever. Something that rings true, yet to an amount of nothingness. It doesn’t mean anything really but it means a lot at the same time, but I guess with most slightly abstract/arty/comedy literature thats the norm. Anyway, this is my favourite quote of all time ever at the moment.

“Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana” – Groucho Marx

Now, it’s been one of my favourite quotes for years and years, but it kind of slipped to the back of my consciousness until I saw this on one of my favourite tv programmes of the naughties (if thats what were really calling them?!), Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
