Glasto Day 2
So today has been long. Fucking long. It’s currently 3am and I’m sat backstage at the WOW! Stage with the Craig Charles Fantasy Funk Band having just come off stage. They were AMAZING. I filmed some of it so I’l upload a video when back in London.
Upon reflection today has been torturous manic fun hell. The heat has simply killed me. Standing, not moving, standing in the sun and sweating as if it were raining on me.
First band of the day was the lightening seeds at the pyramid stage. Great set, ending with Three Lions, just wonderful.
Then went to see The Phenomenal Handclap Band on the West Holts (Jazz World) Stage. Great sound, I’m definately going to be playing them on the next BIG IN WIGAN.
Then went for a nap, food, a quick snog from a stranger and I was ready to go meet up with Rich from Lighthouses and his crew. We went to see Foals and The XX at the John Peel stage. Foals were great as expected, The XX was a complete wrong choice for 10pm… Way to mellow – people want energy not music to mong out too.
The rest of my day included other shit that is boring.
Tomorrow is due to be hotter. WTF? England match in 30 degree heat? Stevie Wonder? The Strokes? Primary 1? Black Cherry?…
… Yes please!
