Hello all. I write this at 1:44am, working on the 5th client of the day, got one more project to work on and then time for bed.

I haven’t updated this blog in a while, and it’s all down to a lil’ thing called love. I’ve fallen out of it with my blog recently. not the design, i did it, and love it! Just writing. Everyone goes through problems, and mine are time and exhaustion.

Since we spoke last, I’ve worked on the Jodie Harsh and Circus website, been signed to work on a new TV show (currently in the commissioning process) and just agreed to be Sophy Robson‘s new web monkey to plan and create her new online presence. These are just the projects I’m allowed to talk about.

Don’t forget that I do my radio show BIG IN WIGAN every monday night from 8pm. Have a listen?

See you all soon my darlings.

First of all, this is the first and last time I will ever include “Take That” and “Cool” in the same sentence, but this tune is off the hook. It’s apparently being played on Radio 1 quite a lot, which normally would make me not want to mention it to try to be cool, but fuck it, THIS SONG IS AMAZING.

I’ve been a huge fan of Wileys, even from the grime days, and this taster of this latest album is just amazing… So is the video!

Anyway, it’s produced by Chew Fu, who I’ve had my eye on for a couple of years now, ever since I heard his refix of Beastie Boys – An Open Letter To NYC… Here it is, in its full glory! ENJOY!

It’s been a while since I did one of these, so I thought I would reflect my mood with this calming but exciting number from Cibelle.

If you don’t know who Cibelle is? Then, who are you? Well, you’re me about a year ago, before I met her… even then I didn’t really know who she was. She came into the radio station I was working at to do a show, and we had a nice chat, and all I thought to myself was “Who is this eccentric weirdo? She’s rather cute!”.. And she came in to do a few more shows and I still hadn’t heard her music. By this time we were on good speaking terms (i’d like to think) and yeah, that was that. A few months later, I was surfing the blogs, and saw her name on a youtube video, and thought – you know what, I’l have a little peak. Not really putting Cibelle and music together, because she was just someone I had met and got to know as a weird Brazilian.

IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. The video, the music, the voice. It was the video for her song London London. It was simply beautiful. This was the day I fell in love with Cibelle.

And this is the song I’ve chosen as track of the day. A song from an album that never ceases to amaze me, nor pick me up when I am down. This is Cibelle, with Waiting.

ITV has been in the dumps lately. Making huge losses, ofcom slapping them on the wrist for scamming money out of people, and now, they have feel that they need to advertise their news.

I admit, I’m a BBC fanboy, but seriously, I don’t think the beeb would advertise their news if they were allowed. It’s the best news there is. You know you can trust what’s on the BBC news, maybe not the weather though.

Now I know that no news is bad news (although I don’t agree), but surely it’s not the same with advertising. Our MP’s are stupid, and were all unemployed, but isn’t there a way of not reminding us this on a sweaty tube at 5pm?

I think these adverts are stupid, depressing, and still don’t make me want to watch/read STUPID ITV NEWS.

—————–

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess called Cornface, who lived in the magical world of Oaksville. She was a run of the mill stylish teenager who was utterly in love with a musician, called, for all intents and purposes of this fictional story, Joe Willington. Joe was a hip and happening pop star with a future in music ahead of him.

Joe lived in the city of Londinium Town, across a big pond from Oaksville, infact it was so big, it was more like a lake.

Cornface and Joe had a blooming relationship of which they formed on what looked to be a spiders web, they would sit on the web for hours talking to eachother, laughing away, whilst at all times looking out for the scary spider.

One day, instead of a scary spider coming along, a haggid, old, overrated witch came along called, again for legal reasons, Kleenex Belief, and also started talking to Joe, biding for his attention. The haggid evil overrated witch couldn’t contest to Cornface’s beauty, so she put a spell on Joe, and made him fall in love with her.

This was the day Cornface became sad. Not because she used to live in this Londinium Town, but because the Joe that she was getting along with so well had been stolen by Triple-Velvet Dorothy Perkins.

Cornface then did an impression of a bird, to let everyone know that that day, would be the first day of the rest of her life, and she meant it, but there was something nigling away at her inside, reminding her of Joe Wellington, so she called her handsome, perfect in every way, the peak of physical fitness, superhero friend Sebathon to rescue her from this dark oblivion and get her Joe back, so thats exactly what he did.

With all his Call of Duty skills, Sebathon quickly dispensed of the witches head with one quick bullet from his PTRS-41 sniper rifle, and then gave Joe an antidote for the witches spell, and flew him back to Cornbreath.

The rest is unspoken, especially to someone as naive as you, but you can bet your top dollar that it included some whipped cream, a rope, and a game of monopoly.

Everyone lived happily ever after…

…apart from the witch, who was dead, thank the lord.
